I know there has not been a Fuzzy Memory update in awhile…I’m working on some things outside FM that needed to be addressed first. Josh has gotten me the next script and I will get it up as soon as I can. As my schedule sits right now it will probably be up on Wednesday. I didn’t have time to finish it tonight and wont have time during the day tomorrow. So expect the next FM comic to post Wednesday morning!

So I know I missed yesterday’s comic…mostly because I forgot! BUT there IS a comic posting at midnight tonight for Christmas day tomorrow! And it’s Christmas themed! It features a new main character into the Fuzzy Memory universe! Josh and I will be adding a lot of new dynamic elements to the Fuzzy Memory world over the next few months as we develop this first story, at least I hope Josh has this worked into a story and isn’t winging it out of his ass…

Sorry to say that there will be no Fuzzy Memory Strip today but there will be one on Thursday for the special Christmas Strip. I’d like to say it was planned that way, but really I got busy with family stuff getting ready for Christmas and all and forgot.

So to re-cap, no strip today but there will be a Christmas themed strip on Thursday!

I have all the artwork done for FM6 ready to go, what I don’t have is it all placed properly in the photoshop page with the backgrounds and words put on. But it’s 2am, my computer is moving at a snails pace and I’m sleepy.

So I’m not sure if anyone realizes this but on December 4th I launched a kids web-comic called ‘The Skit and Skat Show‘ with artist JP Manzanarez.  What’s funny about that comic is there are some people that told me I couldn’t do a kids comic, to which I hope to prove them wrong. JP is drawing this comic and I am crafting the elegance of the story.

I’m not saying it’s easy, cause it’s not. That comic is probably the most challenging comic I work on right now. I mean let us analyze it for a second.

y2cl – basic dick and fart jokes weaved into crazy stories, and Jon Anderson throws down to ease my load.

Furry Animal Magic – how hard is it to make a cute animal do something gross? Honestly? besides Mike handles ALOT of the comics, I run the site and give him ideas.

Inanimate – I can bust out 15 of these in about an hour. Just ask Joe from For The Reels.

Fuzzy Memory – The harest part about THIS comic is getting all of Josh’s words into the comic. SERIOULY MAN.

But Skit and Skat I can’t make the same jokes I make else where, it shoul dbe fun! Also it’s nice to have something to show my kids! since they are not allowed to see anything else I do.

So I figured I might post a little something on how I make the comics. Just a quick one since I’m tired and just finished FM4 moments from it’s due time.

First thing I do is read the extreamly wordy scripts Josh sends me.

Second I do up a sketch.

Third I put it into Illustrator and…well…Illustrate it.

Fourth I take it in to photoshop for lettering and effects.

Pretty simple process overall, just takes some time. I plan to have the original artwork I do up for sale in our future store soon that will be hosted over on The Skitish Network (the people who host us), so check back this next week for the ability to be able to purchase the origianl artwork to any FM comic that get’s posted!

That’s right, the third comic kicked my ass. Not because it was hard to draw but because I didn’t have it done in time and was up late to hit the deadline. I refuse to miss updates on this, or any other comic I do. But dammit it’s done and it looks pretty good. Oh, and so you know Josh got me the script for this weeks ago, and the next 3 as well..I’ve just been moving, playing with my kids and wife and working on y2cl, FAM, Inanimate and Skit and Skat as well as the InkSpot comics page.

So as Josh said this recent election was either the greatest moment in your life, or you are a stupid hillbilly who voted for the same ol’ white man as all the other stupid hillbillies and you fuck you sister.

Was that a bit harsh? I think it might have been, let me rephrase that.

If you didn’t vote Obama, then  you like to fuck yo’ momma.

Dammit, harsh again…I can do this I swear I can…

If you didn’t vote black then you smockin’ crack! (shouldn’t that be the other way around?)

In all seriousness Senator McCain is a great man, a great politician and would have been a great president. Gov. Palin on the other hand doesn’t know that Africa is a continent, and that my friend is reason enough to not vote for them.

The republican party has a lot of fixing to do. They are out of touch with the times and run our country into a whole. As many foreign nations have said since the election of Obama “Welcome back to the world America!” The whole world was pulling for Obama and this victory, as he said, is a victory for everyone. Republican of Democrat, Independent or whatever you are be proud to voted in a non-white American to office. Prove to the world that America is better then it used to be, we are progressive to the needs of our peoples. And god dammit we have some soul, now let’s have a dance off!

Hey gang look it’s a new Fuzzy Memory strip…and handy writer Josh is here to hope there’s still someone reading the comic and trying to get more people reading. Sorry about the EXTREME delay, lives and such were very busy and hectic. But new content eh! Good stuff….thanks everyone for your patience and please keep reading.

Well after one false starts and some minor issues Fuzzy Memory and company have returned. I have big plans for the coming year and alot of new comic strips along the way. If you’re new to FM, check out the strips from previous weeks and let us know what you think. If you like it, please go out and tell friends, family and the like. Wow gang really sorry about the lack of new FM on the site. I had a pretty horrid holiday season which I’m just now recovered from. But the good news is we’ll have new comics up and running on Tuesday and hopefully won’t miss a beat for some time to come. We’re hoping for a solid year for the comic and if you like it leave us a comment, and tell your friends to come check us out. Peace.

Wow the comic is already a month old.  How awesome is that? Ok, it would be more amazing if we ran a daily strip….but still I’m excited.  And hey we have a new domain name!  More exciting news.  Trying to remain peppy at 2 A.M.  Ok my brain is frazzled enough so keep reading everyone.  G’night.

Well after I’ve sufficiently stuffed myself full of meaty goodness I realized that while the comic is out weekly posting on my own site has been rather dismal.  Well that is planning to change.  To the readers we have thanks for your support so far and next month look alot more Fuzzy goodness.  I plan on having a Christmas and possibly even New Year’s edition special and alot more appearances online for me.  Going to shill like crazy for next month and into the coming year as we hopefully build readership.  Well, Black Friday approaches so I’m nodding off for the night.  I hope everyone is full of holiday cheer, or anger whichever you prefer, and keep reading the comic.  See ya Tuesday!

So I sit here after midnight and bore witness to one of the most historic elections in our country’s existence….and I have nothing to say.   How pathetic is that?  Right now I’m staring at a sketch I picked up from the Pittsburgh ComiCon several years ago and my mind is a blank.  Obama is now president-elect, which depending on which side of the fence you reside on could be a wonderful thing or the most tragic day of your life.  I’ll not delve too deeply into politics but I’m hopeful for the future and leave it at that.  Our debut comic is up and if you’ve already read it thank you and hopefully you’ve bookmarked us for future viewings.  If you haven’t then what the hell are you doing read the damn strip!!!  If you didn’t find it your cup of tea as the comic states there will be plenty of obscene puppet tricks and foul language coming up.  Strip 2 will be up next Tues and we begin the first real storyline.  Hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoy FM!

I do realize it’s now Nov. 1st and Halloween is over but nonetheless wanted to wish everyone an enjoyable Halloween weekend.  The less you remember the better as I always say.  Just wanted to give a quick update we will have the 1st strip up on November 4th and we decided to put up an election night special.  It nagged at the back of my mind for a few days but it’s written and ready for action.  On a bit of a serious note make sure and get out and vote this Tuesday.  Regardless of who you want in the White House.  Having the ability to vote and have a voice is something we need to appreciate more and take advantage of.  So, vote, then come back and read our first little foray into the world of Fuzzy Memory.  Or read first and then cast your ballot.  Oh and just for Mr. Horsley’s benefit I made sure to wash off the frying pan this time before i smack him with it.  Take care all!

So, at last, it’s me. If there’s anyone here actually reading this is my first post as writer/creator of Fuzzy Memory. The Bears actually managed not to implode this week so I don’t write this via mad frenzy but with a few happy thoughts. As a kid I often joked that the world would be a better place if it were inhabited by Muppets. This thought kept me busy through adulthood and now I sit before you, amidst a clutter of papers on my desk…posing that very question to you the reader. What would the world be like if puppets were the dominant creature in existence? Obviously this isn’t going to be a story akin to the writings to Dickens, Poe, or Shakespeare. Just another online comic strip among the masses already taking up valuable space on the internet. Our job here is to try and distinguish ourselves with a certain level of humor, wit, and likely fair amounts of foul language. Ok maybe we’re not so different from most of the online world. My hope is to keep you entertained, and be impressed with awesome visuals of Mr. Horsley. Expect updates once a week once we kick off the series, possibly more once we hit our groove. Thinking up some ideas for contests and I’ll run those by everyone soon. So strip 1 will be up November 4th. I hope everyone enjoys and looking forward to hearing some feedback. Lata.
